Service Dogs for Veterans
A dedicated program for the men and women who served — PTSD support, mobility assistance, and emotional-support task work to help you regain independence.
Buck's Virginia has the right training option for your dog
Our veteran-focused program trains dogs to the same highest-reliability standard as any service dog, with task work centered on the challenges veterans face most.
A trained service dog can interrupt anxiety and panic, provide grounding during flashbacks, create space in crowds, assist with mobility, and restore the confidence to move through daily life. We build the specific tasks that matter to you.
A dedicated Service Dog Coordinator builds an ADA-compliant program around your needs over 8 to 12 weeks. Foundation obedience first, then PTSD-support, mobility, and emotional-support task work, then public access — with ongoing support after placement.
Every effective, humane tool — slip lead, prong, e-collar, food, structure. We explain every choice on the consult so you understand exactly what your dog is learning and why.
CATCH CCDT, AKC CGC Evaluator, Pet First Aid, and NePoPo® Gold School graduates, plus a dedicated Service Dog Coordinator for ADA-compliant work.
We do not stop until your dog reaches the goals we write down together at the start. The result is the deliverable — not a fixed number of sessions.
Starting at $8,000 across an 8-to-12-week program, with an honest candidacy assessment on the consult.
